Deep Rag: The Small Dead's Game (Intro Only)
The paper tigers roar at noon;
The sun is hot, the sun is high.
They roar in chorus, not in tune,
Their plaintive, savage hunting cry
—A.D. Hope
After accepting a book from a mysterious man, you find yourself in a high school at midnight with six seniors. Each is willing to risk everything for a chance to win their perfect future—which is exactly what the Small Dead’s Game might cost them.
Learn more about the students so you can guide, manipulate, or simply watch them as events unfold. And keep your wits about you—Deep Rags hold secrets and are not meant to be read, but experienced.
This is just the intro for now, a tiny slice of the whole, but I plan to finish the main story as soon as I can (projected finish date is March 2025). I wanted to share something for now, and to get feedback and gauge interest. My hope is to make a series out of this—a bunch of different stories all using the same format, and all tied to the mysterious man who hands out the Deep Rags.
Thanks for checking it out! Feedback is appreciated, so don't be afraid to leave a comment on anything that stood out to you (good or bad).

looking forward to the alpha version!
Thank you, Lucky! I had to put it on hold for a different project that I can't really discuss here, but I think Small Dead's Game will be done around March 2025.
Hey! I'm not that much into spooky stories, but dude, the pixel art is sick, and on top of that, it's 1-bit!!! And I loved that 80's style music too. Keep it up, this looks really great!
Hey, thank you so much!
